    ### Build instructions

This section assumes that we’re using an Arduino Uno R3.

    #### Step-by-step instructions:

    ##### Step #01

Plug an SD card into your computer.

    ![Step #01 image](rfid/images/sdcard.jpg)

    ##### Step #02

Connect your computer via USB cable type A-male mini-B-male cable directly into Arduino Uno R3.

    ![Step #02 image](rfid/images/unoplugged.jpg)

    ##### Step #03

    Open up Arduino IDE software.

    Select Tools -> Board -> Arduino/Genuino UNO

Select Tools -> Port -> COM port number that says Arduino/Genuino UNO (if it doesn’t say this then select another port).

    ![Step #03 image](rfid/images/comport.jpg)

    ##### Step #04

Open up rfid.ino sketch file located at rfid/rfid.ino.

Copy everything inside `#include` lines until `void loop()` function.

Paste this code into new sketch file located at data/rfid.ino which is located next to rfid folder.

Now open up data/rfid.ino sketch file located at data/rfid.ino which is located next to rfid folder.

Compile sketch by clicking Sketch -> Verify / Compile icon or pressing Ctrl+R keyboard shortcut keys simultaneously:

    ![Step #04 image](rfid/images/sketchverify.jpg)

If there are no errors then upload sketch onto Arduino Uno R3 by clicking Sketch -> Upload icon or pressing Ctrl+U keyboard shortcut keys simultaneously:

    ![Step #05 image](rfid/images/uploading.jpg)

Once upload finishes click Tools -> Serial Monitor icon or press Ctrl+Shift+M keyboard shortcut keys simultaneously:

    ![Step #06 image](rfid/images/sketchserialmonitor.jpg)

If there are no errors then disconnect USB cable type A-male mini-B-male cable from Arduino Uno R3:

    ![Step #07 image](rfid/images/unoprepareplug.jpg)

    ##### Step #08

Prepare SD card slot by plugging SD card into SD card holder solderless breadboard adapter board / Micro SD Card Holder Module For Arduino With Adapter Board / SD card holder SDIO adapter breakout board which is plugged into breadboard:

    ![Step #08 image](rfid/images/breadboardsdcardholder.jpg)

    ##### Step #09

Prepare Ethernet shield W5100 slot by plugging Ethernet shield W5100 into breadboard:

    ![Step #09 image](rfid/images/breadboardethernetslotempty.jpg)

    ##### Step #010

Prepare RFID reader MFRC522 slot by plugging RFID reader MFRC522 into breadboard:

    ![Step #010 image](rfid/images/breadboardmfrc522slotempty.jpg)

    ##### Step #011

Prepare MOSFET slots by plugging MOSFET P-channel IRF9540N TO220 package transistor / MOSFET N-channel IRLR2907 TO220 package transistor onto breadboard:

    ![Step #011 image](rfid/images/breadboardmosfetempty.jpg)

    ##### Step #012

Prepare LED light bulb socket adapter kit slots by plugging LED light bulb socket adapter kit onto breadboard:

    ![Step #012 image](rfid/images/breadboardledlightbulbslotempty.jpg)

    ##### Step #013

Prepare tactile push button switch SPST momentary push button switch slots by plugging tactile push button switch SPST momentary push button switch onto breadboard:

    ###### Option A

Option A requires two tactile push buttons switches.

Option B requires only one tactile push button switch.

Option C requires no tactile push buttons switches.

Note: It’s recommended that Option A be used because it allows us to test both sides of our lock mechanism without needing two separate devices.

Note: If using Option C then we’ll need some way of telling our device what side of our lock mechanism needs unlocking when scanning RFID tag since there will be no physical way of doing so other than programming our device beforehand which isn’t ideal since we want our device setup process not require too much effort on our part once everything else has been completed correctly.

Choose whichever option works best for your situation.

If choosing Option A then plug first tactile push buttons switch onto breadboard:

If choosing Option B then plug single tactile push buttons switch onto breadboard:

If choosing Option C then do nothing:

    ###### Example images:

    Option A example:

    Option B example:

    Option C example:

    ###### Notes:

The reason why we need these options is because depending on how many locks we want our device setup process not require too much effort on our part once everything else has been completed correctly.

    For example:

If we only wanted our device setup process not require too much effort on our part once everything else has been completed correctly when setting up just ONE lock mechanism then we would choose Option C since there would be no physical way of telling our device what side of our lock mechanism needs unlocking when scanning RFID tag other than programming our device beforehand which isn’t ideal since we want our device setup process not require too much effort on our part once everything else has been completed correctly.

    However:

If we wanted our device setup process not require too much effort on our part once everything else has been completed correctly when setting up TWO different lock mechanisms then we would choose Option A since there would be TWO physical ways of telling our device what side of each lock mechanism needs unlocking when scanning RFID tag namely through using TWO separate tactile buttons switches connected directly INTO each respective lock mechanisms themselves thus making it possible for us NOT only set up both locks independently without having any issues but also allowing us NOT only test both sides independently without having any issues but also allowing us NOT only test BOTH sides together without having any issues either.

    In conclusion:

Depending upon how many locks YOU personally want YOUR particular scenario set up process not require TOO MUCH effort ON YOUR PART once EVERYTHING ELSE HAS BEEN COMPLETED CORRECTLY THEN YOU SHOULD CHOOSE THE OPTION THAT WORKS BEST FOR YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION.

    ##### Step #014

Prepare DC power jack connector slot by plugging DC power jack connector onto breadboard:

Note: Make sure positive (+ve) wire goes INTO positive (+ve) hole while negative (-ve) wire goes INTO negative (-ve) hole otherwise incorrect voltage may damage circuitry causing permanent damage thus rendering entire project useless forever!
