Blackburn Rovers FC – Ewood Park
Stadium Info
Opened in 1882, Ewood Park has an all-seater capacity of 31,367. The Darwen End, Blackburn End, and Jack Walker Stand are all similar in design, featuring two tiers and being more modern builds compared to the Riverside Stand. The Riverside Stand, named for its location along the banks of the River Darwen, is a single-tier structure. Thanks to the thoughtful design of the stadium, there are minimal, if any, obstructed views throughout.
Away Fans
Away supporters are located in the Darwen End, which can accommodate up to 4,000 fans. The amount of the stand allocated to visiting supporters depends on the expected attendance. For smaller followings, typically less than 2,000 seats, the lower tier to the right of the goal is used. For larger crowds, the upper tier is opened, and for the largest turnouts, the entire stand may be given to away supporters (sometimes depending on security considerations). Regardless of where you’re seated, the views from anywhere in the Darwen End are excellent.
Where To Drink
At Ewood Park, the Blackburn End houses the Blues Bar, a Rovers-themed sports bar reserved for season ticket holders and Blues Bar members. Although the beer is somewhat pricey, the bar serves food and features numerous screens displaying RoverVision or Sky Sports News. Recently, the club introduced a lower bar area to better accommodate disabled fans looking to order food or drinks. For additional options, the Fernhurst pub, located on Bolton Road near the Darwen End, is the official away fans’ pub. Nearby, you’ll find the Golden Cup and Uncle Jack’s, both just a short walk from the stadium.
For a quick bite, Bolton Road offers various takeaway spots, including a chip shop, pie shop, and several sandwich shops.
Parking
Ewood Park has plenty of local parking options, recommended by the club, though street parking is limited in the nearby areas. Be cautious of residents-only parking zones. If preferred, buses provide easy access to and from the stadium.

By Train
The closest train station to Blackburn Rovers’ Ewood Park is Blackburn railway station, located about 1.5 miles from the ground, roughly a 20-minute walk. The station connects to the Boulevard, the main bus station, where several bus routes (3, 3A, 3B, 46, and 346) pass by the stadium, heading toward Darwen.
Mill Hill station, situated on the Blackburn to Preston line, is slightly closer (around 1 mile or a 15-minute walk). However, not all trains stop here, although football special trains often use this station instead of Blackburn.
