Coventry City FC - CBS Arena 1

Coventry City FC – CBS Arena

Stadium Info

The CBS Arena features a 32,500-seat capacity, along with a 6,000 square-meter exhibition hall, hotel, leisure club, and casino. It is also home to Arena Park Shopping Centre, which includes one of the UK’s largest Tesco Extra hypermarkets. Despite its large capacity, the stadium has yet to sell out for any home league match, though it was achieved in a cup tie against Chelsea. Full capacity may become a reality with Premier League promotion.

Away Fans

Away supporters are located in the Jewson South Stand, with up to 3,000 seats available. The stadium’s design ensures an unobstructed view of the pitch from every seat, as there are no pillars throughout. However, the size of the stadium relative to the typical attendance can make it challenging for both home and away fans to create a lively atmosphere.

Where to Drink

Pubs that welcome away fans are limited, so it’s best to either have a drink on the way to Coventry or in the city center. To avoid any issues, refrain from wearing club colors, baseball caps, or Burberry-style clothing for a more relaxed pre-game experience.

Arena Park, located behind the stadium, is the nearest shopping area. It features a large Tesco, Boots, Burger King, a library, and various market stalls. Pizza Hut is also just across the car park.

Parking

Parking around the stadium is restricted, with many streets designated for residents only. Your best options are to use one of the park-and-ride services near the CBS Arena, which cost between £5 and £7, or to spend over £25 in the Arena shopping center to park there for free. Alternatively, you can book a designated parking space at the ground for £10. According to Jonny Shuttleworth, numerous pubs on Foleshill Road behind the CBS offer parking for as little as £3 on match days.
